I love learning how other artists work, see their process unfold. I love all processes really – I love that show on the Discovery Channel How it’s Made.
What I am learning to do now, besides paint, is learn to enjoy my own process, even though I don’t know what that this completely.
The work of getting the greens right the first time and then redoing it the second time and the third time. Stalling a little initially because I wasn’t sure I would be able to get it right again and yet again, having to tell myself that’s part of the process.

Which made me want to give it a try in a larger version…
(Funny because of the ‘fabulous’ lighting in my ‘studio’ that lower right corner is darker than it is in the painting but I kind of like it. I didn’t notice until I posted it here.)
I am thinking the flowers will look different in the larger version. A little more twisted maybe, not so elegant. I look forward to seeing what it looks like in the end!
